The word beauty meshes with the words awe and stewardship perfectly. Beauty is what causes awe. It allows human brains to become amazed and awestruck. Even in the smallest sense, beauty is something that makes us feel like God is great and powerful. Beauty gives us a sense that God is so much bigger than we could ever imagine. Stewardship also reflects beauty. Beauty makes us, as God’s children, want to be kind to His creation. It allows us to see that there are things that God created for us to be careful and gentle with. Seeing the beauty around us makes us feel like objects in God’s creation are treasures that are to be cared for with the utmost respect. Stewardship can also come into the picture when something is not as beautiful as God had intended. In this situation, it is our job as humans to be stewards and restore the beauty that God originally had in mind.
